A notorious armed robber who was terrorizing residents of the Afram Plains area in the Eastern Region has reportedly been shot dead in a robbery attack after his “juju “powers failed him.
The victim, name yet to be identified was linked to many highway robbery attacks and cattle rustling in Afram Plains Area.
According to the report, he was gunned down by Police on road linking Afram Plains to Kumawu in the Ashanti Region while robbing passengers with his gang.
Objects believed to have been infused with magical powers for protection were found around his lifeless body.
His body has been retrieved and deposited at the morgue.
According to Manfred Asiedu, the deceased Fulani herdsman was notorious for robbery in the area but freed by police and court whenever arrested.
“I have led a team of ordinary farmers to hunt this him before after an alarming report reaching me that he and four others went and short at a nearby village, made away 56 cows and some reasonable Cash. We arrested them and handed them with (3) set AK 47 over to police, all our efforts was “Fiasco’. I rather became a target for them”. He explained.
