A group of mourners claiming to be supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, have been involved in an accident on the Odweanoma Mountains on Nkawkaw to Atibie road.
The mourners numbering about 25 were in a Hyundai Super roof vehicle with registration GE 72564-20 from Nkwatia returning to Accra.
Eight persons suffered minor injuries and were treated and discharged, According to Nkawkaw Divisional MTTD commander DSP Foster Asante.
Meanwhile, a witness told mybrytfmonline.com that, “between the hrs of 3:10pm, there was a road accident on the Nkawkaw road.
A Hyundai super roof bus with registration number GE-7267-20 was moving from Nkwatia to Accra carrying 24 people who lost control and landed in the Nkawkaw Atibie valley. According to the driver, he failed his breaks.
Four-person were injured and sent to Atibie Government hospital. They have been treated and discharge”.
