Armed Police from Akyem Tafo District Command in the Eastern region have invaded two ghettos believed to be a den for wee smokers and criminals.
The Police team arrested seven (7) suspects during the operation at Ati and Zongo both suburbs of Akyem New Tafo Township.
The suspects have been remanded by the court to reappear on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
The move, according to the Police is part of efforts to clamp down on criminals in the area to enhance security for residents and businesses.
The Police appealed to the public to volunteer accurate and timely information to Police on suspected criminal activities in their communities to help swiftly nip it in the bud.
