Ghana international Bernard Mensah is returning to the parent club, Kayserispor at the expiration of the loan deal at Besiktas.
The 26-year old joined Besiktas on an initial loan from Kayserispor last summer with the club having an option to make the deal permanent for €5m.
He played 36 times for the side scoring 4 goals and providing an assist and won double with the club in the just-ended season.
But Mensah could not make the expected contribution forcing the club not to sign him on a permanent deal and has declined to trigger the clause to sign Ghanaian midfielder.
Per the report submitted to the management of Besiktas by Coach Sergen Yalçın, he recommended not to continue with the player.
Again, the high transfer fee of Mensah also makes this transfer impossible financially.
Mensah has a contract with Kayserispor until May 31, 2023.
