The cumulative number of Ghana`s COVID-19 death has increased to 818 as 15 patients are in critical condition.
Ghana Health Service report as of 18th July indicates that 26 patients are in severe condition and Active cases stand at 3,618.
From March 2020 to 18th July 2021, Ghana’s positivity rate remains low, as compared to the Countries in the World, and it stands at 7.2% with 99,974 cases and 95,538 Recoveries.
The test conducted under the period is 1,379,016 and out of the figure, 365,886 from routine surveillance, 640,101 from enhancing contact tracing, and 373,029 from international travelers who arrived in Kotoka International Airport.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Tuesday expressed worry about the surge in COVID-19 cases nationwide, saying the nation cannot afford another hit of the pandemic.
Thus, everyone in Ghana should adhere strictly to the set protocols on hygiene and social distancing, as well as other coronavirus restrictions, until the country attains a very appreciable level of COVID-19 vaccination.
