A total of 85 persons have died of the Pandemic COVID-19 in the Eastern Region out of eight hundred and twenty-three recorded across the country from March 2020 to 25th July 2021.
The Region`s Case Fatality Rate stands at 1.8% and Cumulative recoveries and Discharges as at is now 4513.
According to a report from the Regional Health Directorate, Active cases as at a stand at 197, Persons in the critical state are 5 and those in the severe state are 6, while Numbers are in moderate state -7 and Numbers in mild state -179.
Cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases for the region as of 25/07/2021 – 4,795, Cumulative Health Workers infected as at is 1069 (22.3%) and Cumulative students infected is 705 (14.7%)
Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi Metropolitan areas remain the hotspots of infections.
As of Friday, 23rd July 2021, the Ghana Health Service report indicates that the total number of active cases stands at four thousand, five hundred and twenty-one (4,521).
A total of one million, four hundred and six thousand, and eleven (1,406,011) tests have been conducted, out of which one hundred and two thousand, one hundred and three (102,103) persons have been infected with the virus, and ninety-six thousand, seven hundred and fifty-nine (96,759) persons have recovered.
Ghana`s daily infection rate for the past week is three hundred and fifty (350) cases.
