The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has indicated to Ghanaians that it would continue to protect State Lands pursuant to E. I 114.
The assurance comes after a leaked Will of late Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John), former CEO of the Forestry Commission where he is believed to have allocated portions of lands at the Achimota Forest and the Ramsar Site to family members.
In a press release signed by the Sector Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor also revealed that checks by the ministry show no record of ownership of lands at the Achimota Forest or Sakumono Ramsar Site.
Again, the ministry added that the Will in question is a subject matter of litigation/contention in the Courts.
