As the ruling New Patriotic Party is set to hold their Regional Annual Delegates’ conferences from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th May 2022 across all 16 regions of Ghana, Prof. Christopher Ameyaw Akumfi, Board Chairman of Public Procurement Authority. has observed that the Party’s grand agenda of breaking the ‘8’ in the 2024 general elections should be more paramount to the personal interest of persons contesting for various positions.
Prof. Ameyaw Akumfi, who is contesting for the National Chairmanship position urged aspirants to go about their campaigns in a manner that will not breed too much division in the party after the internal contest. in order not to weaken their strengths in future.
Prof. Ameyaw Akumfi made this appeal when he visited the Bono East Region where a total of 23 candidates are contesting for positions in the Regional delegates conference to be held at Kintampo.
Prof. Christopher Ameyaw Akumfi however, wished all candidates in the upcoming elections the best of luck and urged delegates to also vote for leaders who have unity, discipline and commitment as their hallmarks.
