Ashantigold winger Yaw Annor has equalled Ishmael Addo’s 21-year record in the Ghana Premier League.
Yaw Annor finished the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season as the top scorer with 22 goals.
The enterprising player weaved his magic on the final day of the domestic top-flight, scoring a brace to leapfrog Kotoko’s Frank Mbella in the goal king race.
The former Bechem United star was instrumental in Ashantigold’s 2-2 draw against Bibiani Goldstars at away.
His 22 goals mean, he has equalled Hearts of Oak legend Ismael Addo’s Ghana Premier League record.
Ismael Addo during the 2002 league season scored a record of 22 goals to win the goal king, however, after 21 years, Yaw Annor has equalled the long-standing record.
