A suspect, Mawuena has been arrested by the Awutu Beraku District Police Command over the alleged murder of an 18 years old Okada rider at Awutu Mfadwen near Awutu Beraku in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
The alleged deceased, Kwabena Ogyam was asked by the suspect (Mawuena) and his other friend to take them to an unknown destination but never returned back.
The family after searching for the deceased for a week proved futile, only to find out Ogyam was murdered upon the arrest of the suspect.
The Father of the deceased, Opanin Kwame Darko, narrated his ordeal to Bryt Fm News Correspondent, Eric Owusu Amponsah arguing the deceased had gone to drop her mother where he met the suspects when he was returning.
According to the deserted father, the family suspect foul play and is urging the police to unravel the chronicles of the matter.
The situation according to the reporter had created fear and panic in the area as both colleague Okada riders and the public are afraid of the incident and are calling on authorities to improve security in the area.
