As part of enhanced strategies to combat the spread of CONVID-19 specifically within the jurisdiction of the Asuogyaman District Assembly, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Samuel Kwame Agyekum on behalf of the Assembly has on Tuesday, 14th April 2020 donated Veronica Buckets with liquid soaps and tissues papers to the Asuogyaman District Health Directorate.
The materials are for onward distribution to the various Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPs Compound) within the District.
The management of the Asuogyaman District Assembly upon implementing the enhanced strategic measures has so far disinfected vantage places within the district; that is, markets and community centers as well as healthcare facilities with over one hundred (100) Veronica buckets, liquid soaps, tissues papers, waste containers and hand sanitizers being distributed.
The District Chief Executive, Samuel Kwame Agyekum commended health practitioners and other frontline workers for exhibiting hard work and commitment in the fight against the deadly Coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the District Health Director, Dr. Aziz Abdulai expressed his delight about the donation and requested more support for the health workers from cooperate bodies and other individuals.
Dignitaries present at the brief ceremony were the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Moses Komla Joshua, District Environment Health Officer, Madam Doris Acquah and the District Information Officer, Mr. Daniel Akoto.
The Asuogyaman District has recorded no confirmed case of the deadly Coronavirus as of Tuesday 14 April 2020.
