According to Professor Joshua Alabi, Campaign manager for John Dramani Mahama the decisive victory of the National Democratic Congress, NDC is a sign of great relief for Ghanaians.
He was optimistic the NDC is determined to work harder to redeem the economy from its current status into a more proactive and productive one.
In an interview with Kwamina Sam Biney on Bryt Fm Adekyee Mu Nsem political show, the former UPSA Vice Chancellor assured that President Mahama and the new NDC government is poised to ensure the living standards of the ordinary Ghanaians are well better off.
Professor Alabi noted the Akufo-Addo led government failed Ghanaians on their earlier promises and therefore indicated the NDC cannot afford to fail, as it would be a betrayal of trust Ghanaians reposed in them.
On the issue of policies and programmes for the youth, Professor Alabi emphasized that President Mahama’s government would be youth centered a lot has been tabled down pending their implementations in the coming days.
He stressed that the youth forms greater percentage of the country’s active workforce, hence the need to empower them to take up leadership roles in governing the country.
He also, called on Ghanaians to rally behind the new government to ensure it succeed to benefit all despite one’s political, religious or demographic dimensions.
