A man believed to be 65 years old has died in a fatal crash at Sokode Juaso junction on the Kukurantumi stretch of the Koforidua to Bunso Highways.
The accident occurred on December 30, 2020, at about 5:30 pm.
The deceased yet to be identified was in a Toyota Camry vehicle with registration Number GW 2180-12 from Koforidua heading to Akyem Abekoase.
However, on reaching a section of the road, the Camry wrongfully overtook another vehicle and collided head-on with a Taxi heading to Koforidua from Tafo.
The man died at the spot but both drivers Sustained injuries.
“The taxi driver was alone in the Taxi. They are receiving treatment at Kukurantumi Community Hospital. Meanwhile, the body of the deceased had been deposited at Kukurantumi Mortuary” a witness said.
