The Member of Parliament for Kwahu Afram Plains North Betty Krosbi has met Okada riders in the Constituency to reassure them of the Commitment of President John Dramani Mahama to legalizing motorbike for commercial transportation.
The MP said “upon hearing the former President H.E. John Dramani Mahama announcing that Okada as means of transport in the country will be legalized and regulated under his next government, I took it upon myself to meet Okada riders in my constituency to ascertain their problems.”
She said, “The fact is that Okada is one of the main sources of income for my people in Afram Plains so I took it upon myself to interact with about 250 Okada riders in my constituency and also share with them the good news if NDC wins the 7th December 2020 elections.”
The MP assured to help facilitate securing of license and other protective equipment to the Okada riders if their Operation is legalized.
The Okada riders said their major problem now I harassment by the police therefore very happy that a government thinks about them and is ready to legalize and regulate it to help minimize their challenges.
