Assistant coach of Ashantigold Thomas Duah believes the absence of midfield gem Appiah McCarthy will affect the club’s campaign.
The free-kick genius is set for an eight-weeks out of action due to a ligament injury he sustained during Legon Cities clash in matchday 10 of the Ghana Premier League.
McCarthy has been outstanding for the miners in the ongoing season and according to Duah, his absence will affect their performance.
In an interview with Opemsour FM, he said, “The injury of McCarthy is really going to affect us following what he brings on board. He is one of our top performers in the team and even the league. He will surely be missed.”
The miners will take on Ebusua Dwarfs in matchday 12 of the Ghana Premier League at the Cape Coast Stadium.
