Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have been honoured by Sudan club Al Hilal for their immense contribution to football development in Africa.
The Porcupine Warriors has been presented with a plaque from the management of Al Hilal to commemorate their contribution to the development of football on the continent.
The Chief Executive Officer of the two-time African champions, Nana Yaw Amponsah received the award on behalf of the club on Thursday.
The reigning Ghana Premier League Champions are currently in Sudan for pre-season training as they seek to prepare massively for the new season.
On Tuesday, Kotoko engaged Al Hilal in a preseason friendly game where they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Sudan champions.
They are expected to take on Al Hilal in a reverse encounter of the friendly on Friday.
Kotoko will play two more friendly games before they return to Ghana for the start of the season.
