Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have botched to confirm whether or not Emmanuel Frimpong will join the club ahead of the season.
Rumour had it that the former Arsenal midfielder who hanged his boots in 2018 is set to make a return to football with Kumasi Asante Kotoko believed to be his destination following successful negotiations.
But in an interview with the communications director of the club, he failed to confirm whether the rumour was true or not.
“Our Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah has said that we will sign two marquee players, to sum up to a thirty man squad. We are talking to those superstars but I cannot reveal their names now. We want to finish negotiations and medicals before we will announce as we did for Emmanuel Keyekeh, Patrick Asmah and Yusif Mubarik”
“We have passed the stage where our signings will be known even before the club announces. Kotoko is a big corporate, so will do our signing secretly unlike previous years” he said.
