Over 150 Crusaders from Asamankese, Boadua and Akwatia Parish in the Catholic Youth Organisation of the Asamankese Deanery in the Diocese of Koforidua have embarked on a two hour Street Evangelization to mark Feast day of a Patron Saint of the Youth, Saint John Bosco.
The Street Evangelization aimed at creating awareness of the Feast day, awareness of the C.Y.O and to win souls for the Youth Organisation and the Catholic Church.
With Brass Band Music float in the Principal street of Asamankese, the Crusaders were in their Organisation’s White and Green Lacoste with placards with messages such as “C.Y.O shall Reign forever, Do good to everyone, harm no one, Treat others with courtesy and charity,We Love God above all things,Never postpone the good you can do today and many more.
The Street Evangelization forms part of a three day Inter Parish Feast of Saint John Bosco which was on the theme ” The future of the Parish C.Y.O: The role of the Leader and Crusader”
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Saint Mary Parish Priest, Rev.Fr. James Buah Nkwantabisa called on Crusaders in the C.Y.O to learn from the life of Saint John Bosco and do something for God,Ghana and the Church with their skills, knowledge and Spiritual gifts.
He lauded Crusaders from Akwatia and Boadua for joining their colleague in Asamankese to mark the feast day.
The Asamankese Parish Youth Chaplain, Rev.Fr. Martin Delali Atitson urged the Crusaders to be active in the Church always and do whatever they can to make the C.Y.O attractive to others.
