Cleanliness they say is next to godliness therefore the Church of Pentecost leading by example to other Christians and Ghanaians as a whole has introduced a nationwide sanitation program dubbed, “Environmental Care Campaign” aimed at keeping our immediate environment clean as the Almighty God we serve directs us to do.
In view of this, the Apostle Isaac Nii Kotei Djani led Techiman Area of the Church of Pentecost in the Bono East region has partnered the Techiman Traditional Council, Municipal Assembly and other Stakeholders to hold a massive clean-up exercise on Saturday morning at the Techiman market (Central Business District) and principal streets to inculcate the spirit of cleanliness into the citizenry.
Speaking in Techiman during the exercise, Pastor John Entsoah Techiman Area Secretary of the Church of Pentecost declared the readiness of the Clergy and Nananom to continue with this clean up exercise every month.
For his part, Nana Amponsah Takra Ankobea Hene of Techiman Traditional Council on behalf of Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw IV, Omanhene of Techiman called on the people to join the exercise next time it is organised.
Meanwhile, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko Municipal Chief Executive for Techiman called on Ghanaians to have a change of attitude towards making refuse and save the resources of the nation.
