Ghanaian highlife crooner, Ronald Kwaku Dei Appiah known in the showbiz circles as Bisa Kdei has ardently stated that comparing young artistes to him is needless and for that matter, people should refrain from such assessments.
Bisa Kdei who believes Nigeria and other African countries do not entertain such evaluations but rather encourage their young artiste to do more so they can achieve more in the entertainment industry.
According to 2016 highlife artiste of the year, people should inspire these young artistes so they put in much effort in their work but unnecessary links that will lead to competition.
He made this pronouncement during an interview with Dj Mac on Instagram.
“I always try to correct people when they ask if I feel threatened by them, we shouldn’t try to create confusion between old and new artistes”.
“We need to encourage artiste to do more so we can project the image of highlife to the next level…now we have the likes of King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Kidi and it is beautiful and amazing.”
“We should learn to encourage the artiste just like Cote d’Ivoire, Congo and others are doing.”
