Novel Covid-19 cases in the Eastern Region have spread to 20 out of 33 Districts with six deaths and 299 confirmed cases, according to a report from the Regional Health Directorate.
A total of 118 persons have recovered and discharged and Pending cases are now 175, as of 16th June 2020.
The report said Ghanaians in the confirmed cases represent 69% and Non- Ghanaians is also 31% with 57% Males and 43% Females.
Affected Districts are; Lower Manya Krobo – 83 cases with 70 Recoveries, New Juaben South – 46 cases with 8 Recoveries, Kwahu West – 45 cases with one recovery, Denkyembour – 18 cases with 11 recoveries, Akwapim North – 17 cases with seven recoveries, Asuogyaman – 13 cases with 12 recoveries, Birim Central – 13 cases with two recoveries, Nsawam Adoagyiri – 19 cases but no recovery.
The rest are; Fanteakwa North with six cases and all have been recovered, West Akim-six cases with one recovery and Suhum-three cases with one recovery.
Other Districts with cases but no recovery includes; New Juaben South – 3, Achiase – 2, Kwaebibirim – 2, Upper Manya Krobo – 2, Akuapim South, Birim South, and Ayensuano have one each case.
