Eligible voters as well as Ghanaians in general have been urged not to fall prey to the opposition’s cheap propaganda displayed on the country’s current economic status.
The economic status of Ghana has been at a crossroads for the past years due to many factors, both local and international.
However, the main opposition National Democratic Congress has been on the neck of the Akufo-Addo-led government for poorly managing the economy.
But Fanteakwa South 2nd Vice Chairman of the NPP, Nana Kofi Akomea Jnr has cautioned Ghanaians not to see the NDC as an alternative, because the NDC has failed in the many years gained to rule the country.
Economy
He emphasised that the NPP since 2017 has been a blessing to the country as numerous programs, projects and interventions have improved the livelihood of many Ghanaians and also put Ghana on the world map.
The Government Spokesperson indicated the implementation of the free SHS policy, 1D1F, $1m per constituency, 1 village 1dam, planting for food and jobs, Zongo Development Fund, restoration of teachers and nurses allowances and many others have benefited many citizens of this country.
“Again, my brother Agenda 111, ongoing roads infrastructure, youth empowerment programmes and many others are also making good impacts on people’s lives. So the NDC cannot be an alternative to a party with such records” he stated.
Expectations
Nana Kofi Akomea Jnr was, therefore, optimistic Ghana’s economy will bounce back in no time as Government has put in place policies and measures to ensure the country overcomes the global economic crises.
He assured Ghanaians the Economic Management Team and the Finance ministry have competent members and staff who are currently doing their best for the betterment of all Ghanaians.
2024 elections
The Fanteakwa South 2nd Vice Chairman was hopeful the NPP will definitely break the 8 political jinx of the country come 2024 and called for a collaborative effort from all party supporters to ensure victory is secured.
He said the Akufo-Addo administration has done well enough for any Presidential Candidate of the party to thrive on for victory and therefore did not matter who becomes the party’s flag bearer.
“I will continue to urge all party supporters, especially the Leadership to foster unity among members who may have been peeved in the party’s internal elections so we go into 2024 with a united front” he advised.
