The Eastern Regional Minister Eric Kwakye Darfuor has resumed work after defeat Saturday during the Parliamentary Primaries.
A former Constituency Organizer also a teacher at Nkawkaw Secondary School Joseph Frimpong kicked out the Regional Minister who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for Nkawkaw Constituency and three other Candidates.
Joseph Frimpong had-206, Eric Kwakye Daffour -159, Seth Adjei Baah -156, Joyce Opoku Boateng – 82, David Asante – 73 and Kwabena Adusa – 28.
The Minister has since been in the house trying to overcome the shock after delegates voted against him after taken various gifts from him.
However, on Wednesday, the Regional Minister resumed work by donating 2000 Dual Desks to Ghana Education Service Directorate in Kwahu West Municipality for onward distribution to the needed Schools.
Mr. Darfour made this donation when he handed over a refurbished three-unit classroom block belonging to Kwamang M A basic School to Municipal Director of Education at Kwamang, a community in the Kwahu West Municipality.
The roof of the school building ripped off by rainstorms a few months ago and the Member of Parliament had to intervene quickly especially when the form 3 pupils will be returning to school next week.
He also presented some face Masks and hand sanitizer to the Headmistress of the School to be given to the pupils when they resume.
The Minister and his team also inspected some ongoing developmental projects in the education sector in the Constituency.
These include six-unit classroom block and three-storey teachers model apartments to accommodate 12 teachers at Aprewhem and six-unit classroom block at Ekoso. He also took the contractor who has been selected to construct 9 teachers Bungalow in the constituency to inspect the site earmarked for the project before official sod cutting is done.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Alhaji Issa Musa who represented the Chief Executive thanked the MP for his quick response to the distress call of the School. He added that the School had no justification but to produce good results.
The Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Daniel Yeboah Yienno thanked Hon. Darfour and the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo for the massive investment made in the education sector. He assured to work hard and also ensure that the building is well maintained for the benefit of future generations.
