An anonymous old student of Suhum Secondary Technical School (SUTESCO) surprised the management of the school with a huge donation.
The old student donated a track load of 600 bags of rice, 100 bags of sugar, 300 cartons of mackerel, 200 cartons of tomato paste, and 100 gallons of oil.
“Good evening colleagues, today God proved to the whole Sutesco that he is a miraculous God. The above are items donated to the school by an Obenfo whose identity is unknown. He donated 6oo bags of rice, 100 bags of sugar, 300 cartons of mackerel, 200 cartons of tomato puree, and 100 gallons of oil. God bless all Abenfo for their benevolence”. The School announced.
The donation is a timely intervention as the school like many other Senior High Schools is struggling to feed students due to delayed supply by the government owing to financial challenges.
The implementation of the Free Senior High School Policy in 2017 has led to debilitating financial challenges which have affected the smooth running of Senior High Schools.
Stakeholders have called on the government to review the policy to address the challenges but the government is reluctant.
