Concerned Assembly Members Association of Ghana, CAMAG have thrown their support behind the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama over his promise of paying Assembly Members and also making their welfare a priority.
According to the Association, they are going to vote for the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama over his promised to put Assembly Members on salary when given the mandate in the 2020 December 7 elections.
The |Association has expressed its preparedness to hit the grounds to campaign for Mr. Mahama can make his promise a reality for them.
National coordinator for CAMAG, David Attah Twum who addressed Media said there is a call for them to campaign from house to house, door to door, room to room, bed to bed and market to market to make sure that his Excellency John Dramani Mahama is elected as the president of the fourth republic of Ghana.
“We have welcomed the good news from you because this year’s election is going to be based,” they revealed.
“We also call on all Assembly Members and well-meaning Ghanaians to support His Excellency John Dramani Mahama the flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress towards the welfare of Assembly Members thus paying each Assembly Member a monthly allowance”.
At a press conference in Tamale, the association also asked Mr. Mahama on how he is going to make it their dream reality and make sure that 28 years of our fourth republic, assembly members are considered in your next administration.
“Our motive is to consider any government who is willing to think about our welfare of honorable assembly members,” they added.
