Friday, 2nd December 2022 which marks Farmers’ Day is a Statutory Public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country, according to the Interior ministry.
In a statement issued and signed by the sector minister Ambrose Derry, it states the declaration is in support of farmers across the country as enshrined in the constitution.
Farmers across the country are expected to be awarded for their contribution to the provision of food, meat and fish to Ghanaians and even beyond.
The 38th edition of the celebration comes off at Koforidua Jubilee Park, the Eastern Regional capital.
