The 38th National Farmers’ Day Awardees paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Akwamu Traditional Council, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III at the Bogyawe palace Akwamufie on Wednesday 30th November 2022.
Guests present at the palace were the D.C.E of Asugyaman District Assembly Hon. Samuel Kwame Agyekum, District Director of Agriculture Mr Hilary Doe Alegbo, Director of Administration at the Asugyaman District Assembly Mr Prosper Agbenyo and Reps from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA).
Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III took the opportunity to welcome the awardees by giving them a brief history of the Akwamu Traditional Area.
As part of the arrangements to mark the celebration of 38th Farmers’ Day Celebration which will be held in Koforidua on 2nd December 2022, various award winners took the opportunity to introduce themselves as well as brief the Paramountcy about their various enterprises.
On behalf of the Asugyaman District Assembly and the Akwamu Traditional Council, The D.C.E, Hon. Samuel Kwame Agyekum took turns to Congratulate the Awardees for their emerging support in feeding the Nation.
