Iddrisu Musah Superior, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Forestry Commission of Ghana, has made a passionate appeal to the Judiciary Service, to speed up with the settlement of all 2020 parliamentary election petition cases before them as such situations in a way affects the parties involved.
Musa Superior who is also a former Mayor for Tamale metropolis, suggests that parliamentary election petitions should be heard and judged within 21 days in order to give the MPs involved the peace of mind to concentrate on discharging their duties because of the psychological trauma they go through, as well as the waste of time and resources in attending court hearings all the time, is not a pleasant situation at all.
He made the appeal when he met with NPP Executives in Techiman after he had joined them to attend the petition hearing at Wenchi High Court, where the NDC’s 2020 Parliamentary candidate, Mr Christopher Baasonti Beyere has sued the Electoral Commission to challenge the declaration of Hon. Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah as MP for Techiman South Constituency in the Bono East region.
Musa Superior who has also declared his intentions to contest as General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party in their upcoming internal elections promised to run a bottom-up administration where the grassroots will be duly equipped and National executives always accessible in order to achieve the party’s breaking the eight agenda.
