The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development and Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson has said there is no way Ghana can practice governance without involving women in the country.
According to the Minister, Ghana needs to move away from refusing women in their rightful place when it comes to politics.
Speaking on the Good Evening Ghana program, Hon Hawa Koomson affirmed that women in Ghana’s political terrain are considered prostitutes by their male counterparts.
She categorically stated that women in Ghana’s politics are viewed as prostitutes.
Hon Hawa Koomson said that female politicians go through a whole lot of embarrassments.
She stated that political offices are not too sensitive for women to hold, adding that there will be a time in this country that Ghana will have a female president or even a female vice.
