Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Wontumi, says he will accept an opportunity to apologize to President John Dramani Mahama for any wrongs done to him and his family.
He claims that he is nothing more than an apology, and he will really offer one if the chance arises.
“I am not bigger than any advice or apology. We apologise to our children when we offend them; how much more the first gentleman of the land? I am not bigger than an apology,” he told Asaasepa Radio.
Chairman Wontumi is on trial for a number of offenses, including engaging in illegal mining in a forest reserve and causing financial loss to the state.
On July 3, 2026, the Criminal Court 4 will deliver its ruling in a case involving NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman Wontumi.
