Immediate past Chief Executive Officer of Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has disclosed that his relationship with the current board chairman of the club, Dr. Kwame Kyei took a nosedive and for that, he was not surprised to be axed from his post.
Amoako became a victim of a collapsed management structure as a result of the newly installed Kotoko board’s vision to start a new path to redemption for the Porcupine Warriors.
The Ghana Football Association Executive Council member in an interview lamented his relationship with Dr. Kwame Kyei broke up along the line and is of the view that his sacking from the team does not come as a surprise.
Asked if he has a problem with Kwame Kyei, he said, “If he has a problem with me I don’t know. How can I have a problem with him, I don’t.”
“I’m surprised at all about my sacking because for the most part of our tenure we were not working on good terms. At the initial stage, things were moving fast, nice and okay but later on, I didn’t know what happened,” he said.
