The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board continues to enjoy praises from individuals and politicians for turning around the fortunes of the state agency.
The Bono Regional chairman of the NPP is the latest to heap accolades on Gyamfi, citing his effective leadership despite their political differences.
Kwame Baffoe, who is popularly known as Abronye DC on his Ohia TV show broadcasted mainly on his social media handles, said ” Let the truth be said, Sammy Gyamfi needs to be praised for what he is doing at GoldBod. For him to turn around the fortunes of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company ( PMMC), which has now become attractive, I think we should say it, in spite of our differences”.
According to Abronye, since its establishment, the Ghana Gold Board has effectively marketed its operations to attract investors worldwide.
” Today, the Ghana Gold Board has been able to market itself such that everywhere in the world, people talk about it. Apart from the oil business, gold is the second investment product one wants to invest in,” he stated
Already, prominent individuals, including former Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu and Senyo Hosi, a Finance and Economic expert, have thrown their weight behind the establishment of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), citing its potential to boost the economy.
According to Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the state-run agency, which has the exclusive right to buy and sell all Artisanal Small-scale Mining gold through licensed buyers, has played a pivotal role in the country’s positive economic indicators.
The former NPP Member of Parliament for Suame, reviewing the current state of the economy on Kumasi-based Lawson Fm, hosted by Kwame Tanko, commends the government for recording positive figures in the management of the economy.
The Ghana Gold Board, under the leadership of Sammy Gyamfi, has become the envy of critics despite drawing interest from some African Countries like Nigeria, Mozambique, Kenya, among others.
