Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has urged NPP members to pray for their political party as he believes that is the only way to solve the party internal issues.
According to him, the party needs the prayers at this material time, and all-party faithfuls must pray selflessly for the party.
Afenyo-Markin was speaking on Accra-based Asaasepa FM when he made this known.
He believes that a selfless prayer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will turn things around just as prayer did in 2016.
“If all your energies are coming together for a cause, there is a greater impact. So, the spiritual people in the party should pray for the party. They should pray selflessly for the party. We should pray for the party; the battle is the Lord’s.
I remember Cynthia Morrison; she had a group, and they used to pray at Nana Addo’s residence every evening. When we were in opposition, it was the women whose prayers turned things around for the party. Having women in your party is good because if they decide to come together to pray, whatever machinations of the NDC will not see the light of day. It was prayer that sustained the NPP,” he stated.
“Prayer will turn things around, and you will see that things will change and you see that Bawumia becomes the favourite of the people. Let’s pray and stop individual competition,” he said.
