A vehicle onboard by some first-year Senior High School students have been involved in near-fatal multiple vehicular accidents on Kasoa to Winneba Highway.
The victims have been rushed to the hospital .
The students were on board a Toyota Hiace bus some first-year SHS students going to school but according to an eyewitness, a Renault Private Vehicle with registration number As 286- S from Winneba direction to Accra wrongfully overtook a fleet of vehicles ahead of him which in the process collided with a Toyota Vitz saloon car with registration number GW 1808 – 21.
The Toyota Hiace Vehicle with registration number GT 5273 – 21 which was speeding closely behind the Toyota Vitz saloon car could not stop abruptly hence rammed into the accident vehicles leading to severe injuries of the passengers mostly students onboard.
Both drivers were also injured
“Toyota Hiace is believed to come from Ashaiman. The injured students and drivers have been rushed to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital” Bryt FM Central Regional Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah reported.
Meanwhile, Gomoa Dominase District Police Commander, DSP David Osei Fofie has confirmed the accident to Bryt FM News. She hastened to add that, the victims were responding to treatment.
