The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), today met with the Board, Management and Staff of Ghana Digital Centres Ltd. (GDCL) to engage employees following the recent flooding incident and outline the Ministry’s vision for the company’s recovery and growth.
Addressing staff, the Minister reassured them that the Government remains fully committed to their welfare and job security.
“We are not laying off any staff of GDCL, whether temporarily or permanently, because of the flood. Every one of you is assured of the continuity of your jobs.”
He emphasised that while jobs remain secure, the period ahead presents an opportunity for renewal, urging everyone to work together to reposition GDCL as a sustainable and profitable enterprise.
“Let’s take this as the reset of the reset. Every staff will have to play their role because it’s not going to be business as usual.”
The Minister reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the company’s recovery while strengthening governance, operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.
