Veteran coach JE Sarpong believes next season will be a real test case for high-flying trainer Samuel Boadu at Hearts of Oak.
The 35-year-old who joined the Phobians from Medeama before the start of the second round of the Ghana Premier League made history by winning double for the club.
Hearts of Oak won the domestic top-flight for the first time in 11-years and also the MTN FA Cup title under Samuel Boadu.
The former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko coach despite commending the latter for the success chalked with the rainbow boys insisted the 2021/22 league season will be a real test case for the Ghana U-20 assistant gaffer.
Speaking to Sylvester Ntim of Bryt FM in Koforidua, he said, “Samuel Boadu did not do anything extraordinary; he isn’t so extraordinary but he built a better coach-player relationship in the Hearts of Oak team. He is so free with his players, he dines, dance and also showcase other positivity and that yield the good results.”
“That is how a coach should behave in this country or you will have a very bad result.”
He continued that, “Of course, coaches like Edward Odoom and Kosta Papic must be commended for the team triumphs this season because they laid the foundation for Boadu”
“The only test case now for Samuel Boadu is the 2021/22 season because when you take full control of a team that is when the problems will start. He will now look for his players and build his empire and that is where, when care is not taken you will leave the club when the result is not coming” he said.
