Former Minister of Youth and Sports and Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, E.T Mensah says Rawlings built a great union with the NPP ruler to the neglect of the party he formed, the NDC.
Speaking in an interview on an Accra-based radio station, E.T Mensah pointed out that Akufo-Addo and Jerry John Rawlings’s superior union developed through the respect they each show themselves even though the two belonged to different political boundaries.
According to E.T Mensah, Rawlings likes those who adhere to his directives and Akufo-Addo is one of such people and that is the reason behind their strong friendship.
He added that Akufo-Addo has also conferred Rawlings the needed respect considering the fact that he was the founder of the fourth Republic and the very brain behind Ghana’s democratic pillars.
