Hon. Josephine Ansaa Awuku Inkoom, the Ayensuano District Chief Executive (DCE) has expressed his profound gratitude to the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia for educational interventions in the district.
According to the DCE, intervention by the Second Lady has helped improved the performance of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) tremendously.
Commending the Second Lady in an interview with the media, Hon. Josephine Ansaa Inkoom stated that provision of teaching and learning materials, workshops for the teachers and some other interventions have uplifted the district from the 33rd position to 24th position, which marks transformation in the region.
Addressing General Assembly meeting at Coaltar, a capital of the Ayensuano in the Eastern region, the DCE averred that Ayensuano district used to be in the last position in the region it terms of performance in the BECE.
She revealed that when she took over as a DCE, Internal Generated Fund collection was at zero percent but through public engagement and other strategies the district has been able to improve them.
She promised to remain accountable to the district with the available funds and use it diligently to help develop the district in its development agenda.
