The Chief of Asamankese in the Eastern Region, Osabarima Adu Darko III has stressed the need for all Ghanaians to join the fight against the spread of Novel COVID -19 for restrictions to be abolished for citizens to return to normal life.
Accordingly, the fight against the spread must not be the sole responsibility of Political leaders and appointees but all Ghanaians are needed and he noted that Ghana can win the fight if citizens abide by Restriction laws and COVID protocols.
Speaking at Ohum Festival in Asamankese, Osabarima Adu Darko III expressed worry about Ghanaians who are not willing to wear nose mask in public places as well as people breaching COVID protocols and called on the law enforcement agencies to arrest persons who are not abiding by the laws.
The chief also charged parents and guardians whose kids are in School for Final Examination to be highly alert of prank calls from people over COVID.
He called on chiefs and the security agencies to join hands to flush out persons who want to joke with the Pandemic.
The also urged all eligible voters to get involved in the ongoing voter registration exercise and observe all safety protocols as they join queues to register.
