Chairman of Liberty cooperative transport union in Koforidua, Kwabena Antwi has rubbished reportage that his outfit is planning a demonstration against the government on issues pestering their activities in this era of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Mr. Antwi, who had earlier granted an interview to some reporters of local media stations was allegedly misquoted onto the public domain for undermining the hard-fought effort of the government.
Speaking to Bryt FM news, Mr. Kwabena Antwi indicated he has no intention of staying a demonstration against the government, let alone this pandemic era.
He has, however, described the viral news reportage as fallacious and lies spearheaded to tarnish his hard-earned reputation.
Explaining the issues, the Chairman stressed he was reacting to a question by one of the pressmen on how the current restrictions have affected the transport business, where he responded by pleading with President Akufo-Addo to ease restrictions a far price has also seen an increase.
Mr. Antwi added that the transport industry has seriously been hit by the outbreak of the virus due to the reduction of passengers as part of protocols put in place.
