Two persons have been confirmed dead in a fatal accident on the Gomoa Apam junction stretch of the Kasoa – Winneba- Cape Coast Highway.
The accident occurred when a Daewoo Matiz taxi cab with a registration number GX 9436-19 from Mankessim heading towards Accra collided with Articulator truck carting fully loaded container from the opposite direction of Accra towards Takoradi
Speaking to Bryt FM News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah, Gomoa Apam District Police Commander, DSP Moses Osakonor explained that, the taxi driver who was speeding veered off his lane and collided with the Articulator Truck.
The Taxi subsequently crushed into a ditch filled with water.
Two passengers on board the taxi cab were extricated dead. The taxi driver and other passengers are on admission.
Bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited at Apam Hospital morgue while the driver of the articulator arrested to assist in the investigation.
