Ghana has recorded a total of 3,361 new cases of COVID -19 from 1st to 13th May 2020 alone.
From March 12 to 30th April Ghana’s cases were 2,169 with 18 deaths.
As of 14th May 2020, Ghana’s cases were 5,530 with 24 deaths and 674 Recoveries.
In the last press conference held at the Ministry of Information it was revealed that However, 91% of deaths were due to co-morbid cases. This meant that only 2 people who passed away did not have other underlying health conditions.
The case fatality rate of Ghana also stood at 0.43%. According to the health ministry, the case fatality rate of Ghana is among the best globally due to the quality care and how early people report for treatment.
