Leading Member of the Concerned Citizens of Atiwa Landscape, Paul Asumaku, has emphasized how heartbreaking it is to see many lives lost due to the Galamsey situation.
According to him, there is an urgent need of urgency of addressing this issue. “We have to rise and solve this Galamsey issue because it is sad how people are losing their lives,” he stated.
Speaking on Bryt Adekye Mu Nsem with Kwamina Sam Biney, he stressed that, the Concerned Citizens of Atiwa Landscape are standing firm in their opposition to Galamsey, driven by the alarming number of deaths and injuries.
He is pleading for everyone to unite against Galamsey. They’ve been invited to a government meeting on the 30th and plan to share their detailed concerns with the public, highlighting the severity of the situation.
Mr. Asumaku warns that the Galamsey issue could escalate into a major disaster, similar to how the Israel and Iran conflict began. He stresses the need for immediate action to prevent further loss of life and devastation.
