The trial of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta is set to resume on August 27, 2026, following a Supreme Court ruling upholding the constitutional validity of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
The ruling clears the way for the OSP to continue proceedings against Ofori-Atta, who has challenged the legal basis and constitutional standing of the anti-corruption office.
The Supreme Court’s decision means the substantive case can proceed without the constitutional challenge preventing further action.
Ofori-Atta, who served as Finance Minister under the Akufo-Addo administration, is facing allegations being investigated and prosecuted by the OSP. He has denied wrongdoing.
The case is expected to resume before the court on August 27, when further proceedings will be heard.
