The Chief Executive Officer for Ghana Free Zones Authority Michael Okyere Baafi has said he has helped about 215 people in New Juaben South Constituency to secure various job opportunities within three years the ruling New Patriotic Party came into power.
Speaking on the “Starr Chat” radio program hosted by Bola Ray on Starr FM evening of Wednesday, May 27, 2020, Mr. Okyere Baafi stated that creating job opportunities for the youth is one of the key reasons he is determined to lead the constituency.
“They youth can work, they want to work so all that leadership has to do is to create job opportunities for them to get good jobs, Something that will keep them going.”
“People should show leadership in whatever we do that we are there for them. You don’t have to necessarily have to pick money from your pocket. There are lots of government interventions a lot of scholarships for example where the scholarship secretariat has launched a new scholarship scheme this is an opportunity for also help people” Okyere Baafi said.
He reaffirmed his commitment to repositioning Koforidua to a higher pedestal in Ghanaian governance and development architecture.
Mr. Baafi expressed confidence of defeating the incumbent Member of Parliament Dr. Mark Assibey Yeboah in the upcoming Parliamentary Primaries of the NPP in New Juaben South.
