The New Juaben North Municipality, which covers the capital of the Eastern Region, Koforidua, has recorded sixteen cases of coronavirus.
Nana Yaa Konadu, the municipal director of health for New Juaben North confirmed to Bryt FM in an interview.
“So far we have recorded 16 COVID-19 cases, three recoveries but there hasn’t been any death now. Those who have recovered from the virus have been reinstated back into the society and they are doing very well” she disclosed.
She reiterated that the coronavirus pandemic is real as a chunk of the Ghanaian populace does not believe in the existence of the virus.
According to her, the only way to cure the deadly disease, for now, is to adhere to all the safety precautions put in place by the Ministry of Health since experts are yet to get medicine for the virus.
She implored people in the Municipality and the country at large to wear their face mask, wash their hands under running water, and also use the hand sanitizers.
Mrs. Konadu urged Ghanaians to eat more fruits and vegetables to boost their immune system and is of the view the country will get rid of the disease.
