The Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency (Winneba), Hon Alexander Afenyo Markin has urged residents of Winneba to go out in their numbers to register at the various centres for no one can frustrate anyone in the process.
According to him, the era of Machoism Politics in Winneba Community and the entire Effutu Constituency is over now I entreat people to be law-abiding since the police are there to deal with anyone who flouts the law drastically.
Addressing the Chiefs and people of Effutu Ansaful, a community near Winneba said those who will seek to cause confusion at the Registration Centers, will be dealt with law enforcement agencies.
The Effutu Lawmaker has admitted he is ever ready to meet anyone in a Debate on issues concerning the upcoming elections and not in an unnecessary tribalism politics in Winneba.
“We are in an era of engagement where issues are discussed that is why I am ready to face anybody in a debate in the upcoming election let discuss ideas, is not about machoism, is not about tribalism, is not about whose mother is from here and whose father is from here, someone’s mother is a Nzema and the father is from Effuse and someone’s mother is from Gomoa and the father is from Effutu so who truly is from Effutu.” He said.
He said this when he commissioned an Ultra- Modern 20-Seater Toilet Facility for the people of Effutu Ansaful.
He added that as the leader and captain of the ship, and he is going to make sure that the Effutu constituency gets to where it’s expected.
Urging all political parties, all government service workers to join the successful movement of the Effutu constituency.
Meanwhile, some residents of the Effutu Ansaful community who witnessed the commissioning of the 20-seater toilet facility commended the president for his kind gesture adding that they will use the facility more.
“The toilet looks like someone’s room we are going to use it very much, and we are very grateful for his kind gesture and its very nice, so we are going take good care of the facility,” they told Brytfm news correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah.
Hon. Afenyo Markin used the opportunity to urge the youth to come out with ideas, suggestions to help develop the community.
