The President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to begin a three-day tour to the Eastern region from Thursday 1st October to 3rd October, 2020.
The President will begin the tour from Nkawkaw on his way back from Kumasi, after his visit to the Ashanti region.
President Akufo-Addo will also visit Atiwa East and West districts as well as as the Fanteakwa south district to inspect progress of ongoing works and cut sod for commencement of some other projects.
The President and his entourage will be meeting chiefs in the region at Koforidua on Thursday evening after which he will grant interview with the media at the Residency.
However, President Akufo-Addo is also expected to visit his hometown, Kyebi, Achiase, Asamankese and other areas as part of his tour to the region.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Regional Communications Director, David Prah has described the Akufo-Addo led government as caring and trustworthy as most promises made prior to the 2016 general elections have been delivered.
He mentioned the Free SHS policy, planting for food and jobs, 1D1F, one constituency one ambulance, restoration of teachers and nurses allowances, NABCO program as some of the major achievements of the NPP government.
