National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo says the NDC next term in office will support the small-scale miners to make the youth have an interest in the business to progress their lives including their family.
According to him, the NDC government would establish a Minerals Board to regulate and supervise the operations of small scale mining activities to benefit all.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo stated that the NDC in their next administration would arrange to secure a concession for small-scale miners to ensure their smooth operations hence they need massive ballots to make their dreams come through.
The NDC chairman made this known when Prof. Opoku-Agyemang visited the Obuasi West constituency as part of her six-day campaign tour of the Ashanti region.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo added that the NDC had done more development projects in the Ashanti Region than the NPP, and threw a challenge to the NPP to engage in political debate to find out who had indeed done more for the people of Ashanti.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang on her part added that the policies and programs in the NDC’s manifesto are geared towards preparing the youth with the necessary technical and vocational training skills to enable them to create employment and improve on their living conditions.
The NDC running mate, therefore, pleaded with the electorate in the Obuasi West constituency and Ghanaians as a whole to vote heavily for the NDC to come back to power to continue with its good policies outlined in the people’s manifesto to transform the lives of Ghanaians.
