Sanja Naja the Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has snatched the Atebubu – Amanten parliamentary seat from Bono East Minister who also double as the incumbent Member of Parliament for the NPP, Kofi Amoakohene.
In 2016, Mr. Nanja shockingly lost the seat to NPP’s Kofi Amoakohene but has reclaimed the seat again this year, 2020.
It can be recalled that Sanja Nanja in 2016, members of the Atebubu Traditional Council banned him from the Constituency for insulting the Queen Mother of the area, Nana Afuah Denyina, on live radio.
Sanja Nanja won by 17,588 with Mr. Amoakohene coming second with 13,169 which obviously made NDC’s Sanja Nanja emerge winner in the Atebubu – Amanten constituency.
